This project was undertaken in four stages. The working environment was challenging as we had to accommodate all existing Westpac staff making sure that their business requirements were meet at all times. Security & privacy were a priority, dust control and noise levels had to be managed as to not inconvenience the working environment or the customers of the bank. The refurbishment and fitout extended from new floor coverings, ceilings partitioning, lighting, joinery, relocation of the ATM, new shop front aluminium, meeting rooms etc. All partitions and meeting rooms had to meet strict decibel ratings and lux levels. Our on site manager conducted daily meetings to inform key Westpac staff of all tasks to be undertaken throughout the day thereby keeping them informed making sure they would be as comfortable as possible considering this was a construction site. High levels of finishing items included Maple veneer feature walls, acoustic double glazed meeting rooms and partitions for open plan working spaces. This project was a success and was the result of having previously completed a similar project at Westpac’s Broadway Avenue Bank.
