Multiple projects were required at this nationally renowned events centre. Humphries Construction proudly took on the first stage by tender and the remainder via RFP (request for proposal). This three-stage project required pit-lane garaging and corporate suite building, followed by building a new control tower (encompassing a race day office, stewards room and commentary, timing and operations room), and the Design & Build of a $12 million events and equestrian park, New Zealand’s largest indoor purpose-built equestrian arena.

Project 1 – Pit lane garaging and corporate suites

  • Corporate suites x 2 @ 7m x 6m – capacity 40 people
  • Corporate suite x 1 @ 7m x 12m – capacity 80 people
  • Toyota Suite 7m x 24m – capacity for up to 160 people (kitchenette, bathrooms, sophisticated AV and sound system – bi-fold doors open out to tiered balcony overlooking track)
  • Higgins suite 7m x 12m with capacity for up to 80 people
